No-Show Drop Process to Run on Friday, September 10
Posted on 09/08/2021 at 11:40

The IT Department will run the No-Show Drop process on Friday, September 10, 2021, beginning at 4:00 PM. Any students marked with an Unverified Absence (A) for all scheduled periods from August 30 through September 10 will be No-Show dropped by IT. Any students without a schedule will also be No-Show Dropped.

No-Show drop means these students not in attendance will be automatically removed in PowerSchool from your school’s enrollment. To assist schools, we recommend the following reports to begin looking at students who may be affected by this process:

  • Attendance counts (A,I,T,U,W,Z) – This report provides individual and total counts within a specified date range for the listed attendance codes. To run this report, select sqlReports, and then look under Attendance reports.
  • Attendance Code Counts – This report provides a CSV file listing students and their Attendance Code Counts for selected attendance codes. To run this report, select System Reports, select the SDUSD tab, and then select Attendance Code Counts.
  • Students With no Class Assignments - This report will display students at your school who have an active school enrollment without a class assignment. To run this report, select sqlReports, and then look under the Scheduling reports.

The IT Department will run this process for all schools except the following: Charter schools, Special Education Sites (Riley/New Dawn, Whittier, etc.), Non-Public, Home and Hospital/Youth In Transition, Mt. Everest Academy, iHigh Virtual Academy, Garfield High, San Diego Metro Career & Tech, East Village High, Twain High, TRACE, and Pre-Schools, as well as Special Ed students and Students in Transition identified in PowerSchool as homeless, foster, or military.
