Effective Monday, January 27, 2025, the summer registration for Summer School and ESY programs for students will begin in PowerSchool.
This year’s summer program has a few changes to how students are registered. Please read this message in its entirety:

The Summer School registration of students is for high school Only. Online instruction for high school students will be available at SS Mira Mesa High Only. Students interested in online courses must be registered at this school. It is important to note that students can only select online OR in-person courses, NOT BOTH.

The district will offer summer academic and summer PrimeTime priority enrollment to eligible unduplicated TK - 6 grade students, their siblings, and students with disabilities (IEP or 504) who meet any of the criteria listed below. Families of eligible students will receive an email and text notification sent to the primary contact information on file beginning Monday, February 10, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. The priority enrollment window is open from Monday, February 10, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. and closes on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 9:59 p.m.

Low-income students (free/reduced meals per LCFF) and siblings

Students with disabilities (IEP/504)
The ELO office will hold office hours every Wednesday from 1:30– 2:00, beginning January 29th through March 27th for assistance.

Summer School Enrollments will be created in PowerSchool Summer for ESY (ECSE, 7th-8th and High school) students, as well as all Summer high school registrations tagged in PowerSchool up until Sunday, March 30, 2025, by 4:00 PM. Students not tagged on or before March 30 must be manually enrolled and scheduled in the Summer School database on May 19th. Summer School Classified Posting for those interested in working Summer School and ESY will open on April 21st through May 2nd. Summer School Training
All staff members responsible for Summer School setup or maintenance should attend Summer School training.

Setup sessions are for current HOST School Staff responsible for setting up the Summer School schedule.

Maintenance sessions are for staff HIRED to maintain the Summer School database.
Summer School classes will open up in Professional Learning in March. Please sign up in Professional Learning.
