PowerSchool will be brought down for maintenance Friday, June 28, 2024, at 10:00AM. System downtime may be up to 76 hours. The system should be available on Monday, July 1, 2024. Summer School sites will NOT be affected. During this maintenance, the End-of-Year process will run in PowerSchool.

Important information about the End-of-Year process:

  • The End-of-Year process closes the 2023-24 school year enrollments and commences the new year 2024-25.

  • When the End-of-Year process is complete, PowerSchool will be in the 2024-25 school year. Continue enrolling students in the 2024-25 school year. For more info, refer to the Enrollment handbook and guides.

  • Schools will have full access to all 2024-25 students, including incoming students who were enrolled at other schools at the end of the 2023-24 school year. Make sure to update student information for transferring students.

  • DO NOT withdraw or drop students who were active at the end of the 2023-24 school year. Refer to the Not Continuing Next Year (video tutorial).

  • IT will make necessary adjustments so schools using PowerScheduler may continue to do so until they are ready to commit their master schedules. Please note that the commit process only applies to secondary schools, including K-8.

  • Elementary schools may continue to work on their master schedules for 2024-25. Visit Professional Learning for upcoming open lab dates.

  • After running the End-of-Year process, certain reports will not provide expected results for prior-year terms. Please refer to the job aid, Running Reports After End of Year, to identify reports which will not work for prior years. Although it is not required, schools may wish to print these reports before the End-of-Year process.

  • Please note that Active Directory accounts will be disabled for graduating seniors or students not continuing in 2024-25. Make sure to communicate to families that they will no longer have access to the PowerSchool portal.

  • Effective Monday, July 1, 2024, the Parent/Student Portal will be disabled to prevent parents and students from seeing 2024-25 scheduling information. When your school is ready, you can re-enable the Parent/Student Portal for the 2024-25 school year. Further instructions will be provided regarding how to re-enable the portal at your school.

  • Please note that the IT Department will enable the PowerSchool Parent/Student Portal on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 12:00 PM for schools who have not already done so. If necessary, schools may disable the portal again after noon on that day. However, if your school chooses to disable the portal, please be sure to enable access for parents and students by the first day of school.
