New Quarantine Special Programs

As published in the September 10 Principal Updates, new Special Programs will be added to PowerSchool effective Monday, September 13, 2021. The following Special Programs can be used to identify students who may be quarantined due to COVID-19.

  • Quarantine – Exposed to a positive individual and do not qualify or do not want to participate in Modified Quarantine. A house alert/icon will appear in PowerSchool Administrator and PowerTeacher for these students during the quarantine period.
  • Modified Quarantine – Exposed to a positive individual at school while wearing a mask; may stay at school with testing twice a week. A health shield/icon alert will appear in PowerSchool Administrator and PowerTeacher for these students during the quarantine period.
  • Isolation – COVID-19 Positive Test, Isolate at home. A house alert/icon will appear in PowerSchool Administrator and PowerTeacher for these students during the isolation period.
  • Symptoms – Has COVID-19 symptoms, stay home or return sooner with a negative COVID-19 PCR test and improvement in symptoms. A sick alert/icon will appear in PowerSchool Administrator and PowerTeacher for these students during the symptom period.

School staff will need to enter the Special Programs in PowerSchool for the appropriate students. A job aid with instructions is available to assist school staff. Please contact Nursing and Wellness with any other questions.

The Attendance Roster report, used for substitute teachers, has also been updated to indicate which students have the Quarantine, Isolation, or Symptoms Special Program.
