Effective Tuesday, November 12, 2019 the Parent Portal Access Letter will be available in English, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese. A new report will also be available to help identify the parent/guardian preferred contact language. Access IDs and Passwords must first be set up for your school or the letter will have missing information. Refer to the Parent and Student Portal Administration Handbook for instructions.

New Report: The new sqlReport, Select students to Print Portal Letter, will list actively enrolled students at your school, as well as the primary language of the first parent/guardian listed on the Demographics page. Use the results of this report to help with printing the Parent Portal Access Letter at your school. Follow the steps below or watch the short video tutorial to run this report and print the Parent Portal Access Letter.

1. From the Start Page in PowerSchool, select sqlReports

2. Expand the Parent/Student Portal group and choose the report named Select students to Print Portal Letter

3. Adjust the parameters and click Submit

4. When the report renders, click Make Current Student Selection

5. From the Group Functions page, choose Print Reports

6. Select the Parent Portal Access Letter aligned to the language group you selected

Parent Portal Access Letter: Schools can run this report for a single student or multiple students. It is available in English (EN), Spanish (ES), Tagalog (TL), and Vietnamese (VI).

Create the letter for a group of students:

1. On the Start page, select your students

2. From the Select Function dropdown, click Print Reports

3. Select the Parent Portal Access Letter for the appropriate language

4. Click Submit

5. On the Report Queue page, refresh the page to check and see if your report has completed

Create the letter for a single student:

1. On the Start page, select your student

2. Select Print a Report in the upper, left-hand corner of the page

3. Select the Parent Portal Access Letter for the appropriate language

4. Click Submit
