Effective Monday, May 8, 2023, the PowerSchool Summer environment will be available for hosting sites to begin scheduling tasks for the 2023-24 summer program. Please refer to the Summer School Setup handbooks for details on the process and timelines. Important reminders are listed below.
Summer PowerSchool (https://powerschoolsummer.sandi.net/admin)
- PowerScheduler is available to Summer Secondary Schools, including K-8, to begin schedule building.
- Summer and ESY registration screens are available as “view-only.”
- All students will be “inactive” until Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Refer to the Summer School Student List - SS report to identify students tagged for summer. To run this report, select sqlReports, then expand the group of Summer School reports.
- IT will create school enrollments based on the PowerSchool Administrator Summer/ESY Registration school assignments.
- All students not tagged by May 2, 2023, through the summer registration screen, must be manually enrolled and scheduled in the summer school database by the host summer school starting on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.
- Student enrollment and the use of district transfer will be disabled until Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

- ESY registration will continue in the main database through May 25, 4:00 PM. Contact Theresa Aviles at [email protected] regarding school placement, enrollment, and transportation.
- A nightly process will continue to copy ESY Summer School assignments from the main database until May 25.
Summer School/ESY Training
We recommend that all staff members responsible for Summer/ESY setup and or maintenance sign up for training.
- Setup sessions are for current HOST School Staff responsible for setting up the Summer school/ESY scheduling. Register now in Professional Learning.
- Maintenance sessions are for staff HIRED to maintain the Summer/ESY program in the summer school database. Registration coming soon.
