Effective Monday, May 23, 2022, IT will apply the following changes in PowerSchool to assist with Universal Transitional Kindergarten student enrollments for the 2022-23 school year. Please see the complete list of changes below.

  • Enrollment validations – These validations will support schools in proper grade-level enrollment of 4-year-old students based on the date of birth ranges for the UTK program.
  • 2022-23 (4 year old) Stored Search – New stored search to identify 4-year-old students.
  • Universal TK special program – This Special Program will automatically be updated when students enter and exit courses of EUTK, fall within the 4-year-old birth date range, and are enrolled in an identified school hosting UTK. School sites will no longer need to maintain these programs.
  • UTK Alert – A new alert will display for actively enrolled students scheduled into courses of EUTK and have the Universal TK Special Program.
  • Universal TK Students Report – This report will list actively enrolled students at your school. Students must be included in a EUTK class and the Universal TK program. To run this report, select sqlReports, then expand the group of Early Childhood reports.
  • UTK moving up a grade Report – This report will identify students born between February 3 – March 31, 2018. Students listed on this report may qualify for school ADA and can be dropped and reenrolled in grade level 0 on their birth date. To run this report, select sqlReports, then expand the group of Early Childhood reports.
  • New UTK courses – New elementary school courses supporting the Universal Transitional Kindergarten (UTK) student class enrollments.

Additional information about Universal Transitional Kindergarten (UTK) is available on the district website.
