What’s New in PowerSchool?

Please see the information below regarding changes to PowerSchool, effective Monday, May 18, 2020:

New Reports

  • Stu.sandi.net Email Addresses – A new report will be added to PowerSchool Administrator to show stu.sandi.net email addresses for actively enrolled students at your school. This report will also display any student email address entered in PowerSchool for each student. To include teacher names on this report, you may optionally specify a period. At the top of the page, two buttons have been provided to aid schools with copying student email addresses. Please note that stu.sandi.net emails cannot typically send or receive email. To run this report, select System Reports, select the sqlReports tab, and then expand the group of Enrollment reports.
  • Student Email Addresses – A new report will be added to PowerTeacher to show stu.sandi.net email addresses for students in a given class. This report will also display any student email addresses entered in PowerSchool for each student. At the top of the page, teachers can easily copy student email addresses to help paste into a message using Outlook. Please note that stu.sandi.net emails cannot typically send or receive email. To run this report, select the Printer icon from the PowerTeacher start page and then select Print Rosters.
  • Parent/Student Portal Logins Chart – A new report will be added to PowerSchool Administrator to show Parent/Student Portal Logins by date. Use the tabs at the top of the page to view Parent Portal Logins, Student Portal Logins, or both Parent and Student Portal Logins. To run this report, select System Reports and then select the SDUSD tab.

  • School Finder – School Finder will be updated to reflect both the current (2019-20) and next (2020-21) school year: https://www.sandiegounified.org/schoolfinder. Please contact the Boundaries office at (619) 725-5668 with questions or concerns.

  • Virtual PowerSchool Enrollment - This virtual Zoom training will provide an overview of the steps to enroll new students, drop students, and run required reports in PowerSchool.
