As a follow-up to a prior announcement, we need your help to update the Demographics page with current information for students enrolled at your school. Maintaining student demographic information in PowerSchool helps keep student records up-to-date and impacts other systems that rely on this data. Outdated student information can lead to issues like undelivered mail, missed phone calls, and undelivered email messages. It is essential to keep PowerSchool updated with changes in student data, whether through district enrollment forms, Parent Portal updates, or in-person communication with the school. This will ensure that students receive timely communication and support from their school and prevent any unnecessary complications. We appreciate your cooperation.
To support schools a new report has been created in PowerSchool to help identify students who are missing required information. To run the report, select Reports on the left-side menu, select sqlReports, expand the group of Enrollment reports, and then select Missing Required Demographic Data.
The Missing Required Demographic Data report will identify students which match the following criteria:
- Parent/Guardian/Contact 1 or 2 fields First or Last Name, Relationship to Student, Lives With, Primary Language, and Educational Level.
- LEA Medi-Cal Billing Options Program is missing.
We also recommend running the listed sqlReports below to look for any unresolved issues with student data. To run these reports, select Reports on the left-side menu, select sqlReports, and then expand the group of Enrollment reports.
